Remodeling Company Purchases Reading Tool-Mates

 Aluminum Associates recently purchased Reading Spacemaker® Tool-Mates for their Dodge Pickup. Kert Sloan, owner of Aluminum Associates, chose Reading Tool-Mates because “they work, and they’re strong and durable.”
Reading Spacemaker® Tool-Mates mount on the side of the pickup bed, offering easy access to tools and equipment thru front-opening compartment doors. The Spacemaker® compartment features top-opening lids and offers 15% more storage space for smaller tools and parts.
Aluminum Associates customized their Spacemaker® Tool-Mates by adding aluminum diamond plate on the backside to prevent scratches and marks, carpet-lined the compartments to reduce rattling of tools, and installed tie down rings in the diamond plate to secure materials. An over head ladder rack was also installed to transport ladders. They make use of their carpet-lined compartments to store hand tools, levels, repair parts, table and circular saws and even a vacuum cleaner. The cargo area of the pickup bed is used to carry cumbersome items such as doors, siding, and windows.
Aluminum Associates performs interior and exterior remodeling throughout Berks County. Reading’s Tool-Mates help carry their load from site to site in an efficient manner. In addition to Tool-Mates, they also have Reading’s shelving and utility boxes amongst their five truck fleet.
The Spacemaker® Tool-Mates were purchased through Crest Truck Equipment, Bowmansville, PA, an authorized Reading distributor.
The Spacemaker® Tool-Mates feature, as do all Reading steel pickup accessories, two-sided zinc coated A-60 galvannealed steel combined with Reading’s exclusive Lectro-Life® immersion priming process, providing the most complete rust and corrosion protection in the industry. Also featured are flange-mounted rubber door seals to keep equipment safe in all weather conditions. Reading toolboxes are backed by a three year limited warranty.

 Domco Leasing recently purchased a Reading SC81GSSE Space Cap as a service vehicle for the interior decorating division of their business - A. Domco Decorating. According to Durand O’Meara, Owner, he purchased the Reading Space Cap because “it holds up good over the competition, and I’m happy with it.” He’s been using Reading products for the last 15 years.
Domco Leasing had the Space Cap mounted on a ‘99 Chevy Silverado. They had a roof-mounted ladder rack installed for ladder storage and specified a full-height vertical rear door module for access to the pickup bed.
Interestingly, the user of this vehicle is handicapped, and the Space Cap’s convenient design fits his needs, enabling him to be efficient on the job despite his physical limitations. A unique feature of the Space Cap SSE model is the lift-up door on the front of both sides for convenient access to the pickup bed interior. Accessing the bed from the exterior is essential since rear access would prove difficult for the handicapped user.
Additionally, the Space Cap has two exterior compartments which feature a long parts tray equipped with adjustable dividers which they utilize to store tools, drop cloths, caulking, putty, sandpaper, and other materials. The enclosed cargo area is efficient for storage of their step ladder as well as other tools and supplies thus organizing and protecting their materials from the elements.
A. Domco Decorating, division of Domco Leasing, is an interior wall covering and painting contractor in business for 12 years and employing 50 personnel. Their service area includes the counties of Lancaster, PA, Montgomery,PA, Bucks, PA, Chester, PA, and Wilmington, DE. Their fleet consists of 18 vehicles, of which 12 are Reading Caps.
Domco Leasing purchased the Space Cap through Crest Truck Eq. Co., Inc., an authorized Reading distributor located in York, PA, and David Penske Chevrolet located in King of Prussia, PA.
Each Reading Space Cap is completely constructed of two-sided zinc-coated A-60 galvannealed steel, which provides the first layer of rust protection. After the caps are assembled, they receive Reading’s Lectro-Life® immersion priming process providing the most complete rust and corrosion protection in the industry. Other standard features include double panel compartment doors for increased strength; bolt-on stainless steel pin hinges which securely hold doors in place and ensure smoother operation in all weather conditions; flange-mounted automotive rubber door seals providing weathertight protection of tools and equipment; and slam action, rivet-on locks which offer greater security to valuable tools and equipment.
