March 20, 2020

Over the last several days we have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and adapting our business and manufacturing practices to ensure the health and safety of our team members, supply chain partners, service providers and customers.

Unfortunately, due to the continued spread of the virus and in accordance with orders from Pennsylvania’s Governor, Tom Wolfe, Reading’s Pennsylvania-based operations will close effective Friday, March 20, 2020. These facilities include Reading Truck Body manufacturing in Reading, PA, as well as Reading Truck Equipment in Bowmansville, PA.

All customer-facing functions like Customer Service, Quotations, Sales, Service and Warranty, as well as non-Pennsylvania operations remain open and operational with enhanced protocols in place for sanitation, social distancing and security. Please contact your customer account representative through their normal e-mail or mobile phone as appropriate.

Reading leadership is meeting continuously to evaluate business operations, as well as to closely monitor communications from our state and federal governments to ensure we’re in compliance with the latest safeguards and protective measures.

We remain committed to the continued safety of our team at Reading, as well as our friends and neighbors across the country and around the world.  We will continue to work hard to keep our employees safe and our customers serviced and communicate any changes as they become necessary. We wish nothing but safety and good health to all of you.
